Sorry for the lack of updates. Just trying to make the most of my stay in Sweden and spend lots of time with friends and family. Jamie left on Friday (he had to go back to Glasgow and work). So I have now moved into my parent’s flat for the rest of my time here. Jamie and I had a final lovely day together in Sweden with 20 degrees and sunshine. I was walking around in shorts until late in the evening! Love that part of summer.
Once I left Jamie at the train to the airport I met up with my friend Sanna. So good to see her!
Yesterday we had my dad’s family over and I got to see my grandmother, aunties and my cousin. It was a lovely afternoon and I ate salmon for the fourth time this trip (I am really not complaining :p ). Then my cousin convinced me to join him and his girlfriend to the gym for a leg workout. I had already been to the gym in the morning doing legs but couldn’t resist the temptation.
I knew it was going to be tough (he is massive and insanely strong). Two hours and forty minutes later I had pushed myself past any boundaries I thought I had and lifted weights until my legs physically could not do another rep. My cousin and his girlfriend were both so encouraging and even though I thought I would cry at one point :p it was an amazing sense of acheivement once we were done. I always workout alone and really wished sometimes I could have someone to help me push harder so it was a lot of fun and also a chance to spend a bit more time together. It was also fun to try a different view and way of training. No set reps and constantly putting on weights and pushing past what you ever thought was possible. I really thought I wouldn’t be able to walk today!
And how do my poor legs feel today after almost four hours of exercise yesterday? Surprisingly okay! However, my sore muscles sometimes show more two days after weirdly enough.
