I was tired today when I got home from work and for a while I was considering just snuggling up on the sofa and just staying at home. After an inner debate that lasted for a while I finally got my bum out the door and my feet walking towards the gym.
When I cannot be bothered go to the gym I usually say to myself that even if I go there for half an hour, it is better than not going at all. What I have learned is that once you have started your workout you will most likely stay for longer or at least that is what I tend to do. It is just getting to the gym that is the extremely difficult part at times.
If that fails, you can workout at home as well. I roll out my yoga mat and use it to do my exercises on. Works really well and does save you the time of going back and forth to the gym (for that is half an hour so it does make a difference).
Once I was done at the gym I headed home. I decided to cook another lentil curry, this time a different one with sweet potato in it. I have linked to the recipe before in the blog.
When I know I am cooking a proper meal and not taking the easy way out with just a salad, I try to do all the chopping before I go to the gym to save time. Once I’m back I want food as soon as possible and this means food gets quicker on the table. Just trying to make it easier for myself to cook good and healthy food 🙂 Obviously, it’s a lot easier when Jamie’s home and both of us are cooking so I try to be prepared once I’m cooking alone to make it easier for myself.
