Prepping is more than half the battle

   
 One thing I know a lot of people find difficult is staying healthy at work. It’s very tempting to run out during your lunch and grab the closest sandwich and packet of crisps. It may be nice and easy at that time but will not do you any favours health and fitness wise.

I always bring food to work (it even has it’s own bag to fit it all haha), not only because it is the best option for your body but because it is typically a lot cheaper. I make a lot of veggie chillis and stews, good for your economy but they also last for ages, which means you can cook a meal on Sunday and it will last you all week.

Yes it may feel a bit time consuming prepping stuff in the evenings at the beginning but you used to it really quickly. Also think about the amazing benefits you will get from it.

Something I have found very difficult is finding healthy snacks that fill me up and keeps my energised and happy. No one wants to feel hungry all day. It definitely affects my work when I’m hungry. My newest obsession is chia pudding. Perfect to make the night before and throw some fruit, nuts and seeds in before you go to work the next day (I’ll show you what I do for mine in a separate post). 

Another snack I love is a slice of really dark, seedy and grainy bread with a mashed avocado quarter, spinach and red pepper. Of course I sprinkle some Herbamare herb salt and pepper to top it off. Tastes amazing!

I usually pack an emergency Nakd bar just in case I’m feeling extra hungry. Better to be safe than sorry! 

Packing you own food and snacks really helps you stay away from other temptations at work such as cakes, sweets and biscuits being offered. Keep yourself fed and happy and you will notice that it is a lot easier to say no 🙂
