After the casino and the Japanese Gardens I got to discover another part of Monaco I hadn’t seen before, the beach. We thought it would be mobbed there but it really wasn’t. There some nice restaurants right down by the sand and we ended up at one of them devouring some delicious Moules Frites (we were starving).
Once we had refuelled we walked back to the other side of the harbour up to the castle to admire the view from there. I’ve never really liked the castle itself but the surroundings are beautiful! We were lucky to have shade when we walked up all the stairs, I’ve only ever done it in midday with sun almost frying you. The ocean museum or what you should call it is amazing as well if you are looking for more things to do there. It’s got some stunning views from the roof. We settled with admiring the building this trip.
Monaco is definitely a great place to visit for the day but it was great returning to Nice again. A bit more relaxed and slightly cooler during the day 🙂
