The Freshers Fair today was a great success for our little society. We had over 60 people sign up to our mailing list and we are hoping all of them will be showing up at our event. It exceeded our expectations and we were all so happy 🙂 It was amazing being back on campus and feeling the excitement and buzz of everyone being back after the summer. Also to see all the freshers who have just started a new chapter in their lives. University is truly a special place. You meet such amazing people and grow as a person.
I am absolutely knackered from not getting enough sleep last night and after standing up and speaking for several hours. I can barely keep my eyes open. Jamie, the amazing and beautiful person he is treated me to lunch at Kember & Jones after the fair. He knows me too well, I love that place. He even said that he chose it because we could sit in the sun (it was sunny today and he knows I’m slightly obsessed, it was so warm I had to take my jacket off!).
I was absolutely starving and devoured my delicious Tuna Nicoise salad. For once I managed to not order the goats cheese salad, I’m slightly obsessed with it. Even after that I was not entirely full so we headed to Juice Garden for som raw desserts and juice. I had an apple cake and Jamie had a caramel slice. My apple cake was absolute heaven! It’s one of the best apple cakes I’ve ever had and I’ve had a lot of apple cake in my life. It did not taste like it was gluten, dairy and sugar free. Jamie’s cake was also tasty but mine was just slightly better I thought, hehe.
I’m now home and can’t make up my mind on whether I should go to the gym or not… I’m so tired. It’s not even a little tired, it’s I can’t keep my eyes open tired and it’s not even seven! I think I’ll move my gym day to tomorrow when I feel more rested. It’s not worth it if I feel like falling asleep 😛 I still get my five days of exercise and sometimes you just can’t help how your body feels. You have to listen to it at the end of the day and mine is saying it needs rest! So rest it is.
You need to be able to tell the difference in what kind of tired your body is, sometimes it’s just a bit tired from sitting still all day. Mine is like that after a day at work. Other times it’s pure exhaustion, which is when you maybe should take it easy. Otherwise you could always use tiredness as an excuse 😛
