Healthy inside

In this blog I talk a lot about exercise and eating healthy (and not so healthy). Lately I’ve been thinking a lot about what makes me happy. I’ve been for quite some time been surrounded by some people who have been draining me on energy and who have made me feel very sad. These are still people who have meant a lot to me in my life but I decided a while ago that sometimes a friendship is just not worth fighting for anymore. I feel like I have given so much and these people haven’t given anything back in a long time. It has made me question myself a lot.

This evening I was reunited with some wonderful ladies, some who I haven’t seen for months and it reminded me of the importance of surrounding yourself with amazing people. People who give you energy and make you a happier person. I left tonight feeling so happy and so much love for these amazing girls who I somehow managed to find during my years here in Glasgow. Some of these girls I haven’t known for very long and still I feel like I have known them for ages. I have several more fantastic people who I love so much. I feel so blessed to have them in my life and I know that they know who they are. I try to tell them as much as I can.

Sometimes you need to sit down and reevaluate your life and question it. Is this really the way I want my life to be? It is not always easy making these decisions but it’s necessary for your inner happiness and well-being. You only have one life and I truly believe you should do everything you can to make the most of it. Having wonderful people by your side is pretty much everything in this life I think. Otherwise you will feel incredibly lonely.

Take care of yourselves! It’s so important xxx

Madeleine Moves is a blog celebrating a love of exercise, food, travelling and life. I love being active, exercising and being out and about. With my blog I hope to spread this joy and inspire you to be your best. Who am I? I’m Madeleine (surprise). I’m a Swede who lives in the vibrant city of Glasgow in Scotland. I moved here for my university studies and in summer 2016 I graduated with a degree in Business and Management at University of Glasgow. My keyword has always been balance. I love eating healthy food but I also love to indulge once in a while. You need to enjoy life at the end of the day and limiting yourself is not the way to go. With this I would like to say welcome to Madeleine Moves. Love, Madeleine
