My amazing hake with kimchi pepparonata (I think it was called) and sweet potato in some form (it was tasty!) at Bo Kantina. An example of their amazing Korean and Mexican fusion dishes. We ordered in Kimchi on the side because it’s delicious (I am part Korean after all 😉 ). Kimchi has numerous amazing health benefits for your body,such as your digestive system as it’s full of healthy bacteria, which your stomach loves. Just another reason to enjoy it a bit extra!photo 4

I made Madeleine Shaw’s celeriac and parsnip soup yesterday evening. It was one of the tastiest things from her book I’ve made so far! So incredible and smooth. The seeds on top added great texture. I made it with vegetable broth to make it vegan. 


Hello lovelies!

Hope you’ve had a lovely weekend despite the tragedies all across the globe. I’ve been quite down about it all as I can’t believe how humans can be so inhumane to one another. It breaks my heart.

My weekend has been quite relaxed with a lot of me time (friends have been busy with deadlines and Jamie’s been working). I’ve managed to get a bit of studying done, two visits to the gym (one killer ab and one killer leg session, I can feel it today!) and went to an amazing yoga class at Lululemon with Nicky Rolland. She’s a business consultant who runs her own company along with her business partner and also teaches yoga on the side. What a power woman! It was incredible to have a chance to speak to her afterwards and hear more about her work and how she balances it with health and wellbeing through practicing yoga.

On Friday Jamie and I met up for a dinner and cinema date after we’d both finished work. We had dinner at Bo Kantina again. We’ve both really fallen for this place as the food is incredible, the staff is so friendly and the ambience of the place is very nice and relaxed. We tried their salmon tostada to start and it was probably  one of the best salmon dishes I’ve ever had. Oh my goodness! The rest of the food was great as well.  A great place for a small treat.

We watched the new Bradley Cooper film, Burnt and it was really good. Jamie and I are a bit food obsessed and this film was just up our street. It was quite intense and shows the pressure and competitive side to the restaurant industry. Really worth a watch. The food looked incredible!

Today I’ve had a lecture and went straight to the gym afterwards. I wasn’t sure how busy it was going to be just before noon but it was great. There wasn’t a lot of people in quite yet, so you had lots of space to do whatever you please. Just how I like it!

Now I’m just sorting out some emails, doing a bit of studying and then I’m meeting up with my fellow Student Marketing Society board members. We have an event on tonight and my boss from the digital marketing agency I work at is coming in to speak. I’m really excited and hope we have a good turn out!

Oh dear, sorry for the essay! I guess that’s the problem when you haven’t had time to update during the weekend… I’ve missed writing in case you couldn’t tell!
