Sorry it’s been very quiet here on the blog lately. It’s the end of term and a lot of stuff is going on. In the middle of all the chaos I found time to watch this amazing TedTalk, which was truly eye opening to me. For someone who has consciously reduced my meat intake, I’ve felt a bit difficult to find a name for how I eat, until this clip. Reducetarian incorporates everything I believe in into one term. It shows that you are the best you can to reduce your meat intake but perhaps aren’t willing to stop eating meat entirely. At the beginning of this year, I would never have thought that I would be where I am now with my meat intake. I’m sure not everyone will agree with this video but it’s a great way to get more people engaged in this matter.

Watch this video, and as Brian Kateman says, a lot of you probably are reducetarians 🙂

I forgot to mention when I wrote this yesterday, I’m not striving to put a label on myself. Sometimes it is just nice to know that there are other people out there that have similar ideas and opinions as you 🙂 I think labels are restrictive and I almost feel at bit claustrophobic. I do the best I can and that goes with everything I do. But I very much agree with what Brian says and believes in. So no I won’t be introducing myself as a reducetarian anytime soon. It’s not who I am. It’s just something I believe in and am inspired by, that we can all do something to make a difference.
