I did it!

Hello lovelies!

Yes I am alive and I survived writing my dissertation! Today I finally got to hand it in with my friends and it felt so weird to let go of it, something you have been working on for so long.

I’m so proud I managed to pull through. Writing this has been the scariest and most challenging work I have ever done so far. At some points I was convinced I was going to fail and I even considered leaving university (a bit dramatic perhaps but it did cross my mind) but I’m not a quitter, that’s for sure. I have never done anything like this before and I’m not going lie to those who are yet to do it, it’s no walk in the park but I’ve learnt so much about myself and what I’m capable of. I was pushed past my limits and looking at this piece of work now, I am so proud of what I have accomplished. 65 pages, just under 11 000 words and 8 months later. This past week I’ve not done anything but sleep, eat, a bit of gym (you need study break) and dissertation. The past couple of days I did not even leave the flat. It’s been intense to say the least and there were some tears shed… But,  I learnt a lot about something I am very interested in, Instagram, branding and Lululemon. Just goes to show that you really can write your dissertation on anything you love. Of course I had to choose activewear and Lululemon was just a natural choice then! If anyone is interested in brand experience on Instagram, get in touch, I’ve been living and breathing it for the past months 😉

After handing in our dissertations today we had a lovely lunch at Brel all the girls, mussels were a must and some of us had wine. I was planning on a trip to the gym so no wine for me. I ordered the mussels without cream and stuck to the bread (not a a fan of chips so only had a couple and left the rest for the table). The Irish soda bread I can’t say no to though, it’s beautiful. Since we were in a celebratory mood we ordered in a dark chocolate fondue to share and oh my goodness, it was beautiful. I looove raspberries and dark chocolate! The day was finished off with a gym session and I’ve started on a new essay 😛 Don’t need a wild night to celebrate. I’m just really excited I get to go to my yoga tomorrow morning (I couldn’t go last week!).

Now there’s only two essays and two exams between me and graduation!

Madeleine Moves is a blog celebrating a love of exercise, food, travelling and life. I love being active, exercising and being out and about. With my blog I hope to spread this joy and inspire you to be your best. Who am I? I’m Madeleine (surprise). I’m a Swede who lives in the vibrant city of Glasgow in Scotland. I moved here for my university studies and in summer 2016 I graduated with a degree in Business and Management at University of Glasgow. My keyword has always been balance. I love eating healthy food but I also love to indulge once in a while. You need to enjoy life at the end of the day and limiting yourself is not the way to go. With this I would like to say welcome to Madeleine Moves. Love, Madeleine
