I can’t believe it, but it’s the second day of sunshine in a row! I’ve seriously been sun deprived this summer ( I can’t wait for Spain next week!) so I’m over the moon that the weather forecast is predicting 22 degrees today! Out of all days I’ve chosen today to be indoors to get a haircut, it’s only an hour but still. I’m really looking forward to sorting my hair out, I haven’t had it cut since we went to Spain during Easter!
I want to make the most of my day off and it being sunny so straight afterwards I’m heading home to grab my blanket, a book and some food and head for the park. I can’t wait to get some sun rays and feel the warmth on my skin.
Lately it’s been going so well with my training. I absolutely love the mix of workouts I’m doing at the moment, I still go and do my own thing at the gym and I practice technique but now with going for workouts at mainly Gym G5 I’m really noticing a difference in my strength. For instance, I used to use the leg press quite a lot at the gym before but haven’t for the past two months or so. The other day I wanted to do it for fun since I hadn’t used it for so long. I plugged the pin in at the weight I used to do, about 66 kg, I pressed and it was too light! It felt far too easy and I was in shock. I ended up doing sets of 15 on 93 kg, if I wanted to I probably could’ve done even heavier! I couldn’t believe it! It’s crazy how quickly your body gets stronger, I find it so fascinating.
