I’m on the plane to New York! I can’t believe we’re going to be there in a couple of hours. I’m so excited to spend quality time with my family exploring the city and you’re of course coming with me.
Speak to you in New York xxx
Since my laptop gave up on me, I haven’t been able to share all my photos from Spain yet! On one of our beach days we decided to check out the food at Atalaya. We’ve been there for drinks and snacks several times before but haven’t actually had a meal there. Both Jamie and I chose a salad each, mine was delicious! I usually order my salads with the dressing on the side so I can decide myself how much I have on it but since I was on holiday I couldn’t bothered. Jamie couldn’t resist ordering some patatas bravas as well. To be fair his salad was a bit on the small side so it was probably for the best.
When I’m at Atalaya I have to order their watermelon juice, it’s probably my favourite juice in the world, or one of them at least. I really wished they had a juice bar by the beach in Javea, the fruit is so amazingly fresh in Spain so it’s almost a waste not to have one. I think it would do so well!
I’m so sorry it’s been silent on the blog lately. With my laptop going back and forth to the Apple store several times this week to be repaired I’ve not really been able to blog as much as I’d like to but now it’s finally back and everything seems to be working. YES! So I’m back in business and I’m so happy I’ve got it back for my trip to New York next week. Can’t believe we’re leaving on Tuesday and I’ve got so much to do before then. I can’t wait to share my first NYC experience with you. I’m so excited!
Today was a mental day at work, our card machine didn’t work and we’ve been moving the entire showroom around. I love my job but it was nice to leave when my shift ended. Everyone has those days at work, no matter how much you love it. Afterwards I met up with a couple who’s puppy I might be helping out with once a week, her name is Marla and she’s a beautiful little chocolate lab. When I’m back from New York I’ll be taking care of her Mondays hopefully. Jamie’s mum is right now staying with us so tonight her and I are cooking a veggie chilli and watching a film or something. The weather is windy and horrible so I thought a nice hearty chilli is exactly what we need.
I finally managed to get someone at the Apple store to look at my laptop this morning. Third time is the charm! I thought there would be a wait since it was a Saturday but I was there quite early this morning so most people are probably just heading to town a bit later. Of course the laptop behaved perfectly fine when the guy was looking at it but they’ve taken it in and are going to have a more thorough look at it and get back to me later today to say whether they think the trackpad needs replaced or not. So hopefully I can get it back soon and I can get back to blogging as usual.
For now I’m borrowing Jamie’s laptop when he’s not using it and using my iPad. It’s not ideal but it’s alright!
The other day I had a lovely belated birthday dinner with my girls at The Finnieston where Jamie works. They’ve been wanting to go for ages so we thought this was the perfect excuse to go. We had a great time chatting away and they so thoughtfully got me some amazing gifts. I’ll share some of them later with you! I’m so lucky to have such wonderful friends.
Today I’m actually off so I’ll be doing a bit of work and then I’ll hopefully be meeting up with Kajsa for a bit before I’m going to see McFly tonight at 02 Academy. So excited to see them play again!
