The Counter // Times Square // New York

Of course you have to check out the burger joints when you’re in the US. I believe eating healthily also involves eating burgers and cakes once in a while. I don’t call it cheat day, it’s just something you crave from time to time and there is nothing wrong with that. I’m not on a diet so therefore I can’t cheat on it. It really is all about mindset. When we were in Times Square we went to a place called The Counter situated just by the flashing billboards and lights. It was fairly busy when we got in and the place felt slightly like Bread Meats Bread here in Glasgow.

We ordered some sides and my goodness, they were massive. I’m glad we didn’t decide on having a side each. Their sweet potato fries were good but nowhere near as good as the ones I’ve had here in Glasgow, their onion strings on the other hand were delicious. Everyone in the family went for a bacon burger whilst I had one of their veggie burgers. We all absolutely loved their food, my burger was heavenly. It’s definitely worth a try when in the area, we got a table straight away and the staff were really nice.

With my blog I hope to spread this joy and inspire you to be your best. Who am I? I’m Madeleine (surprise). I’m a Swede who lives in the vibrant city of Glasgow in Scotland. I moved here for my university studies and in summer 2016 I graduated with a degree in Business and Management at University of Glasgow. My keyword has always been balance. I love eating healthy food but I also love to indulge once in a while. You need to enjoy life at the end of the day and limiting yourself is not the way to go. With this I would like to say welcome to Madeleine Moves. Love, Madeleine
