Brunch & Cake was a place loads of my friends said Jamie and I had to visit when we were in Barcelona. We are major brunch fans so how could we resist a place with brunch in their name? The people who own Brunch & Cake have several locations all across the city with different names such as Cup & Cake and Travel & Cake. When we got there there was a queue out the door, on a Tuesday morning in October. We thought it would be a bit more quiet but they seem to be super popular. I can only imagine what it would be during the summer! Luckily we got a table fairly quickly.

The place is very cosy and fast-paced. The food was so delicious and we loved the place so much we actually went back for brunch the next day too. Both times I had the same dish (living it up!) the salmon and scramble egg bagel with hummus, greens and fruit on the side. It was incredible so I just couldn’t choose anything else in case I’d be disappointed. If we had more chances to go I’d work my way through the menu. Jamie tried their Eggs Benedict waffle (yes waffle) and the second time he had some kind of chicken sandwich with guacamole served on the side in a syringe, I’ve never seen that before. God, if we lived in Barcelona I feel like we would be there a lot.
