A slight change of plans

Hi lovelies!

Here are some photos from the Halloween bootcamp last Sunday with the guys from Fly Functional Fitness, it was such an incredible session and they brought down so much kit for us to use. It was amazing!

Sorry that I’ve gone radio silent the past couple of days. I had what I thought was my last day at lululemon on Sunday and it was not easy saying goodbye to everything. It’s truly a place I will always love, I really lucked out with my colleagues there and my role. The other day I had the first day at a new job and it just didn’t feel right. It wasn’t the right fit. I trust my gut instincts and decided to leave after I got a chance to speak to my family and Jamie. I want to find somewhere where I feel happy and love what I do so I will continue my search.

At first I was really sad and felt bad for leaving so quickly but you need to trust yourself when it comes to these things, as my step mum Anki said when I spoke to her about it. It’s something I’ve never done before so it was not an easy thing and I hope never have to do again. Sometimes things don’t go to plan and I’ve learnt that it’s not a bad thing, it’s just part of the journey towards something bigger.

To cut a long story short, I got my contract at lululemon renewed for another month and in the mean time I’ll continue my search. I was offered another month’s extension before I left and I’m so thankful that I was able to come back. It’s great that I can help them out for another month until they’re fully staffed again. It’s important to like your workplace, you spend so much time there that you shouldn’t have to compromise.

So now my job search continues. Right now I’m looking into getting more experience in marketing and PR. It’s something I really like. I’ve polished off me CV and covering letter. Wish me good luck!

Madeleine Moves is a blog celebrating a love of exercise, food, travelling and life. I love being active, exercising and being out and about. With my blog I hope to spread this joy and inspire you to be your best. Who am I? I’m Madeleine (surprise). I’m a Swede who lives in the vibrant city of Glasgow in Scotland. I moved here for my university studies and in summer 2016 I graduated with a degree in Business and Management at University of Glasgow. My keyword has always been balance. I love eating healthy food but I also love to indulge once in a while. You need to enjoy life at the end of the day and limiting yourself is not the way to go. With this I would like to say welcome to Madeleine Moves. Love, Madeleine
