I’ve had lovely weekend spending time with friends, Jamie and exercising in the lululemon showroom. On Saturday as I mentioned I went to Kyle’s yoga class in the showroom, we did a lot of deep stretches and wow it was quite intense at some points. Kyle is so much fun and always makes you laugh, I absolutely love his classes.
On Sunday it was the start of the January bootcamp challenge that I planned before I left and Nicola has so kindly taken over to make it reality. First out was Gregor from SWEAT, he is a veteran in leading bootcamps in the square and they’re always great. Lots of burpees, squats and a bit running involved. I was sweating a lot!
After bootcamp on the Sunday Jamie and I joined the crowds in going out for some food. We went to Singl-end and it was mobbed! I had their salads for lunch, the vegan thai salad was absolutely insane. After sitting there for a while chatting away Jamie thought we should order something sweet and eventually wore me down. Sometimes you just have to give in to temptation so I went for a vegan coconut and blueberry scone and it was soooo good. I have no idea what they replaced the butter with in it but they tasted pretty much like a normal scone.
This weekend I’ve been working on a new page I’ve added to the blog. You can find it at the top of the page (or here) and it’s a list of some of my favourite gyms and studios in Glasgow. There are some great gyms in this city that I’ve had a the great opportunity to visit them through my work and I really hope this helps you find a place you’ll love to go to. It’s so important to feel comfortable where you train and I truly think with the great variety of gyms and studios to join, there’s a place for everyone depending on what they prefer to do when getting sweaty. I’ll add more with time but it’s a start anyway 🙂
Let me know what you think of them if you decide to check them out!
