Hi lovelies,

How was your day yesterday? I took a little day off blogging yesterday to spend it with my love who was off. To me Valentine’s Day is a day to spread a little extra love to all the special people in your life friends, family, your other half, colleagues, you know it! It’s so easy to be carried away with everyday life and forget to tell people what they mean to you.

Jamie and I are very good at telling each other this everyday but sometimes you can forget with the others around you. So Valentine’s is a good reminder but I have definitely become better with age to tell my near and dear ones how important they are. Not just on Valentine’s Day.

We had a very lovely day yesterday. I was at the gym in the morning and when I came back Jamie had got me incredibly beautiful flowers (he thinks red roses are a bit boring so he got me beautiful pink ones instead haha). He knows me so well and instead of getting chocolates he got me raw bars, made me laugh when he said it. He had aso written a beautiful card, his cards always make me tear up when I read them.

After I’d gotten dressed and ready we went out for a walk in the park. The sun was out for once so we had to get out for a bit and get a does of vitamin d when we had the chance. Kelvingrove Park definitely comes alive in the sun. So many joggers out exercising, people out walking, families in the playgrounds, dogs running about and yesterday there even was some people playing music. It was beautiful.

We sat down for a while on a bench and enjoyed the warming rays of the sun. It almost felt like spring was in the air. Could it be the start of it? I’m hoping so! Winter and autumn are not my seasons at all and I’m so ready for it to start getting brighter and warmer.

After a while we were hungry so we went home and I made pancakes from Deliciously Ella’s latest book. I had no idea how they would turn out and what they would taste like but they were super tasty. Jamie approved them too. A bit difficult to shape nicely but that doesn’t affect the taste I suppose haha. I just like when they are nice and round. Jamie had some bread with ham, pastrami and cheese on the side as well. I might’ve had a bit of avocado on rye bread, can’t go wrong with that.

In the evening we had a table booked at Alchemilla, which opened up in the Finnieston area recently. I’ve read great things so Jamie and I were very excited to try it out. It’s all small plates so get to try out lots of different things. Everything was absolutely delicious. We were sat at the bar, I probably would’ve preferred a proper table but it was cool to see the chefs prepare the food. It felt a bit stressful eating as there wasn’t that much space for all the small plates we ordered in but all in all the food tasted so fresh and delicious. We’ll definitely be going back.

Today I’ve got a couple of jobs to apply for and then I’m heading to the Gym G5 tonight for a class. Really looking forward to it. I’m getting a bit hungry so time to heat up some butternut squash soup Jamie and I made the other day.

Have a beautiful day everyone.

Love, M xx
