Hi babes! A while ago I made a list of my favourite health blogs and thought it was about time I shared my favourite Youtubers too. Youtube is something I’ve become slightly obsessed with recently. I love learning and seeing what other people are up to. With more and more incredible people opening up and sharing on this platform, it’s become an incredible source of inspiration for me. I used to read blogs for fitness and health but I’ve found I increasingly turn to Youtube.
I’m really picky when it comes to Youtubers and a lot of channels I’ve watched I haven’t clicked with (this sounds slightly sad but it’s true, you need to connect to who’s speaking). Some channels on this list has taken me a little while to like but something changed after watching a couple of their videos. Some of them I don’t entirely share opinions with but I love hearing how others think and live. It’s a great way to learn, listening to others’ experiences and then seeing how I can implement some of their thoughts and ideas into my life to improve my health and fitness journey.
Other Youtubers (which you’ll see under the “Life” heading) I just love to watch because their incredible personalities and it’s fun to see what they get up to. Hopefully you’ll enjoy this list!
Health and Fitness
Of course I had to include one of my absolute health gurus and name twin, Madeleine Shaw. I love this woman and her incredibly bubbly and positive personality. It shines through the screen. I watch everything she uploads and I’m even loving all her pregnancy videos, always useful to know this stuff for the future 😉 She’s so real and genuine, something I truly respect her for.
Bonny Rebecca is one of the latest Youtubers I’ve started to follow. She’s a vegan who lives in the land Downunder. I’ve watched so many of her videos by now. I’m not vegan but as you know I cook vegan food the majority of the time at home and she is great to follow to help you on your journey with your diet. My favourite video with her is five reasons not to go vegan. A very interesting watch.
Jess is an English Youtuber currently living in Turkey but is about to move any day now so is not as active as she usually is. As you can probably tell by the name, Jess focuses a lot on (vegan) beauty on her channel but what I love about her channel is her “What I eat in a day” videos. She always shows really tasty and easy vegan recipes. I only wish she would upload the recipes on her blog too as it’s a bit difficult to remember where you would find certain recipes in her videos.
I can’t remember how I came across Sarah’s channel but I really like it. Her family is adorable and it’s so much fun to see how her and her husband are raising Beth on a vegan diet. It’s super interesting to see as it’s not something I’ve really come across amongst people I know in my life.
My latest Youtube obsession. Through watching Bonnie Rebecca and Sarah Lemkus I’ve come across Ellen Fisher and her family through Bonnie’s and Sarah’s travels to Hawaii. Yes Ellen and her family live on Hawaii. What a dream! They follow a mainly raw vegan diet the entire family and it’s incredible to see her beautiful sons grow and flourish on this diet. Her kids are some of the most adorable things I’ve ever seen. She does a lot of “What I eat in a day” videos and also gives tips for mums going through pregnancy as vegans, breastfeeding and so on. The amount of delicious tropical fruit they have access to on their doorstep is the dream. Would love to be able to eat fruit and veg that fresh.
Stephanie lives somewhere here in the Glasgow area. When I first came across her videos I wasn’t really convinced. I don’t know what it was. With me increasing my training and trying to eat more and more plant-based food I’ve caught myself turning to her more for inspiration. Now I’m converted. It’s amazing how her body is thriving on her vegan diet and it’s so cool to see. I don’t agree on all the junk food she eats but we’re all different! That’s probably what I like about her the most though, despite how fit she is she doesn’t deprive herself of the things she loves to eat and indulges in less healthy things too. Shows how you definitely can have balance in your life and still look and feel great.
Sarah is another Aussie Youtuber I follow. She follows quite a strict PALEO diet so I don’t really look at her videos for her food but I like to hear what she has to say about health and exercise. She uploads workout videos, vlogs and recipes. At first I found her a little bit annoying (don’t know why) but now I’m really enjoying her videos, she’s good fun and always so positive. Following her around makes me want to move to Australia even more! One day it’ll happen.
Ida Warg is a Swedish Youtuber and all her videos are in Swedish. She does a mix of workout videos, “What I Eat In a Day”, everyday vlogs, challenges and recipes. She is fun to watch and I’ve read her blog for ages and been following her on Youtube since she started her channel. What I will say is that she does a lot of paid collaborations which can be a bit boring and she also has started “Ida testar” series recently which is her trying different things such as a trampoline park (I’m not a massive fan of these videos). I wish she would focus more on health and fitness, which is what she really is about instead of branching out too much.
Swedish Janni is one of my style crushes when it comes to clothes. Although some of the things she wears only she could pull off. I love her optimism and smiliness in all her vlogs. She lives in Monaco with her boyfriend Jon but is always on the move all over the globe. I’ve been reading her blog for a couple of years now and have been following her since she started making videos on Youtube too.
The beautiful Swedish Youtuber Emitaz (or Emelie Natasha which she is actually called) is someone I stumbled across through Janni Deler recently. She vlogs about her life in Barcelona with her boyfriend Oscar and all her travels. I love her style and it’s great to get some inspiration. Reminds me that I definitely need to update my wardrobe after getting rid of the majority of my stuff (I hadn’t rinsed out my wardrobe for years, so it was needed). She’s a natural in front of the camera and very funny.
Kenza is the blogger I’ve been following for years (must be about 7 now at least). I know she’s been wanting to upload videos on Youtube for ages and now she has finally started posting videos on Sundays. In her vlogs you get to follow her around in her everyday life. I love her personality and she is a great style inspiration.
The only guy on this list (I might need to go on a hunt for more)! Janni’s boyfriend Jon vlogs and uploads a video everyday. It was through Janni I started watching his videos because I thought it was fun to follow a bit more of her life and then saw all of Jon’s pretty awesome adventures and got hooked. He does everything from heliskiing in the Canadian mountains to surfing on Bali. This guy is all over the place. He’s gone through some recent changes on his vlog team and every single vlog is a masterpiece in how it’s shot and edited. I don’t understand how they do it everyday. Jamie and I really like watching these together, he loves the awesome cars Jon gets to drive around.
I hope you liked my list! I’m always on the hunt for new inspiring people to follow so if you have any amazing people you follow please share.
