Berlin Day 1

Jamie gets such great photos of me 😛

Hi lovelies! Sorry for the late post today. This day has just been nonstop! I love busy days but I wish I would’ve gotten this post up earlier but oh well, sometimes that happens. Plus I ran out of storage space on my blog after almost two years of blogging! So the evening has been spent trying to sort that out too.

So finally after all of that, I thought it was about time I shared a little bit of what we got up to in Berlin. I know I told you briefly but I felt I needed to share more photos with you guys. We arrived in the afternoon absolutely starving and checked into our hotel, Sana Berlin. It was super easy getting to it from the airport, Berlin’s underground is massive and takes you anywhere in the city, love it. A drastic contrast to the underground here in Glasgow. It’s so tiny haha.

After an okay lunch in Bikini Berlin we decided to walk towards Mitte (the more central part of Berlin), it took us about an hour and all of a sudden we walked straight into the Brandenburg Gate. Not planned at all and I love when that happens when you are wondering around aimlessly. We of course had to be super touristy and take some photos. We also managed saw the Reichstag and continued our walk to the centre but it started rainy very heavily so we jumped onto the underground back to the hotel.

We had so many recommendations for places to eat from friends and decided to check out Transit for dinner. It’s an Asian fusion restaurant in Mitte serving small plates for about 3 euros, crazy cheap! When we got there it was exactly what we thought a restaurant Berlin would me like. It was dark with loud music playing, super busy, vibrant and served amazing food. Lots of the dishes could be made veggie so I had a yellow thai curry with WHITE sweet potato. I’ve never tried it before and it was really tasty, a slightly different texture from the orange. Orange is still my favourite. I also had a veggie dish with satay sauce and Jamie and I shared crispy prawns with Asian guacamole. Wow, everything was so tasty.

We were exhausted after our meal and headed home to get a good night’s sleep xxx

Madeleine Moves is a blog celebrating a love of exercise, food, travelling and life. I love being active, exercising and being out and about. With my blog I hope to spread this joy and inspire you to be your best. Who am I? I’m Madeleine (surprise). I’m a Swede who lives in the vibrant city of Glasgow in Scotland. I moved here for my university studies and in summer 2016 I graduated with a degree in Business and Management at University of Glasgow. My keyword has always been balance. I love eating healthy food but I also love to indulge once in a while. You need to enjoy life at the end of the day and limiting yourself is not the way to go. With this I would like to say welcome to Madeleine Moves. Love, Madeleine
