Gym crew

A sweaty selfie was needed to commemorate our workout together this fine Monday. It didn’t go too well haha. Faye wasn’t enjoying being the photo and ran off! And yes, Kate and I love to match unintentionally.

Hi lovelies! It’s the last day of the long Easter weekend. Hope you’ve had a great time with loved ones. I started the day with a gym session with my two girls Kate and Faye and Kate’s boyfriend Andrew. A couple of years ago when I was training alone and felt a little bit alone in my training and love of training I wished I would find people to share my interest with. It’s incredible to now further down the line be surrounded by so man inspiring people who love to get sweaty as much as I do. Never stop wishing and searching for what you want!

We did a 21-15-9 warm up WOD, which consisted of burpees, air squats and push ups (21 of every exercise, then 15 and then 9). It killed our arms! All the squat racks were still full when we were done so we did another 21-15-9 WOD with dumb bell snatches, dumb bell shoulder to over heads (I did push press), dumb bell lunges and goblet squats. We finished off with some deadlifts once we got a space by the racks. It was so much fun working out in a group. Such great vibes and many laughs.

This afternoon I’ve been super busy sorting out stuff on my laptop. I’ve barely moved! An amazingly busy start to the week. Love when I feel like there’s lots to do.

I’m starting to get a bit nervous because tomorrow Faye, her boyfriend Ross, her mum Carole and I have entered Fly Tri, a competition Fly Functional Fitness are hosting at their gym together with lululemon. There will ten teams competing, nothing serious it’s more for a laugh but it’s the first workout competition I’ve ever entered so I’m a bit nervous. I’m really looking forward to see what they’ll get us to do! I’ll of course bring my camera to share my experience with you guys here on the blog.

I’m soon heading to meet up with Dalia, Sara and the rest of the girl gang before our Dublin duo leave for the airport. They are all having dinner (I’m just there for the company, need to save money since I’m still searching for a job so I’ll just have dinner when I’m back). I’m loving all this time with my friends recently. It makes me so happy! Being surrounded by incredible people makes all the difference in the world.

Have a great evening everyone xx

Madeleine Moves is a blog celebrating a love of exercise, food, travelling and life. I love being active, exercising and being out and about. With my blog I hope to spread this joy and inspire you to be your best. Who am I? I’m Madeleine (surprise). I’m a Swede who lives in the vibrant city of Glasgow in Scotland. I moved here for my university studies and in summer 2016 I graduated with a degree in Business and Management at University of Glasgow. My keyword has always been balance. I love eating healthy food but I also love to indulge once in a while. You need to enjoy life at the end of the day and limiting yourself is not the way to go. With this I would like to say welcome to Madeleine Moves. Love, Madeleine
