Wouldn’t mind a yoga session on the beach but for now my living room will have to do
Hi lovelies! Happy bank holiday weekend. One thing I find so funny about living in the UK is that in the spring it feels like they have a bank holiday weekend every other week. Half of the time it seems like no one even knows why. It’s great but it’s things like these you as a foreigner don’t really understand and find a little bit funny 😛
Yesterday I had a rest day. I felt like I needed some time to let my body relax and take it easy. So instead I started my day of with some yoga in our living room. It felt great to roll out my mat and stretch my body out. I then went for a walk with Marla who I dog sit after lunch. It’s a great way to get out, get some fresh air and to just get some dog time. In the evening I was feeling like doing more yoga so I did a little session before going to bed too. I love it when I get in the zone with yoga and I just want to do more and more. I need more yoga in my life.
Like I mentioned in a previous post, I’ve been struggling to sleep the past couple of days. I don’t know if it was the yoga or that I was just exhausted from my lack of sleep but I slept like a log the entire night. I woke up and it felt like I hadn’t moved since I feel asleep. I couldn’t even remember what I’d been dreaming about. The night just flew by and I woke up feeling a lot more energised. Finally!
This morning I went to the 9.45 class at Stella’s and it was a sweaty one! Lots of movements using our grip muscles and goodness me, it was tiring. A great start to my Friday. I’m now just waiting for Jamie to wake up to see what he’s got planned before going to work. Then this evening I’m back at G5 to run through the competition qualifier WOD with my team mate Lindsey. We’ll see how it goes!
