I was craving my Singl-end brunch yesterday so we made it at home to save money. It turned out pretty much exactly like their breakfast. I had it with guacamole too but forgot it for the picture.
For dinner we met up with some of Jamie’s friends at The Gannet. It was incredible. I had fish for the first time in ages.
Today’s workout at Gym G5. It was so much fun! I love a team WOD.

Hi lovelies! Here are some mixed images from yesterday and this morning. Jamie and I cooked up a delicious brunch for lunch yesterday and yes. I made my favourite brunch from Singl-end. It tasted pretty much exactly like the real deal. It was our first ever attempt at making baked beans and they turned out sooo good. The only beans we had were kidney beans but it worked really well. I used to hate baked beans because I had only ever tried Heinz baked beans and they are horrible, sickenly sweet and slimey. Singl-end has shown be that there is such a thing as delicious baked beans.
In the evening we met up with Jamie’s colleague Callum, his girlfriend Becca and their friends who are over visting at The Gannet for dinner. It was great to see everyone and meet some new people. The food was incredible. I had fish for the first time in I don’t even know how long and it was tasty. I loved every single dish. The salted caramel fondant at the end was on a whole new level. Wow.
I did get the most sore and bloated stomach ever afterwards, which is such a shame because it ruins the experience. I’m starting to wonder if I’m intolerant to something and am going to see a doctor and try and figure this out. I used to think it was just when I was out and eating greasier food that triggered it but I’m starting to see a pattern and am suspecting slightly it could be dairy. I definitely don’t want to give myself a diagnose before I speak to someone but I have my suspicions.
After dinner we moved on to The Finnieston (Jamie and Callum just can’t stay away). Everyone was having drinks and I had hot water with ginger and lemon to try and calm my stomach that was going crazy. It truly was such a great group of people and I loved getting a chance to get to everyone a bit better.
We got to bed quite late and poor Jamie had to be at work at 6.30 this morning for a stock take. I struggled getting out of bed even though I wasn’t up as early as him. I was booked in for a class at 9.45am at G5 and didn’t want to miss it. When I got there I still wasn’t convinced it was the right decision haha. I felt a bit like a zombie but once we got started it felt like my entire body and mind got a kick and woke up. Workouts are definitely my caffeine kick. We were so many in the gym today with lots of kids about whilst their parents were training and of course Kilo was running about as well. Such a great vibe. It was a team WOD on today and I absolutely love a team WOD. At the end the sun came out and we did a final block run before getting on with our day.
Now I’m sitting and doing some work before lunch and then afterwards I’ll try and head out and enjoy a bit of sun whilst it’s out. It looks like we’re going to have a nice warm week this week. Hoping the weather forecast isn’t lying!
