Setting up for the FVTD WOD on Sunday
Hi lovelies! I realised yesterday that I’ve forgotten to update you on how it went on Sunday for our Forth Valley Throwdown WOD. I was quite nervous and felt the pressure of beating our score and there were loads of people.
To make a long story short we didn’t do as well on the Saturday so we just submitted Friday’s attempt as Stella was there for that too luckily. We learnt a lot from our second attempt. Not to get too confident, also to maybe leave a couple of more days in between tries as the muscles will already be a bit fatigued and make sure you get judged on all your attempts so if you do better or worse you can still submit it for the competition. For the next WOD I’m not even sure whether we will do it twice because it really takes it out of you and we only have a week to do it. We were disappointed at the time but I’m glad we had another score which we were happy with.
It was really strange because everything felt a lot harder than on Friday, maybe we got too relaxed after being worried about our first attempt haha. You also have days when you feel less strong and it could be down to factors such as not being warmed up enough. On Friday we did it in the evening whilst on Saturday we did the WOD the first thing in the morning so we were stiffer and have had less fuel in our system. No idea but how you feel varies everyday.
Today they released the second WOD and it looks intense once again. I’m not sure when Lindsey and I will do it but I’ll keep you posted.
I’m just back now from the morning class at Stella’s and have had a post workout snack and showered. Now it’s time to get on with the rest of my day 🙂
