Fiming chocolate

Happy Tuesday lovelies! Hope you’ve had a great start to your week. On Sunday I waved goodbye to Jamie who is right now down in London and competing in a cocktail competition at massive drinks festival called Imbibe. I’m so proud of him and I can’t wait to hear how it goes. I miss him though and can’t wait to have him back with me. It’s only for a couple of days so he’ll be back tomorrow evening.

After saying bye to Jamie I headed towards Faye’s because we had an exciting afternoon of filming her  ahead of us for voomfit. I’ve somehow added videographer and editor to my role title since I started and am really loving it. I’ve learnt so many new tricks and feel like I’m getting a little bit better with every video. Great practice if I one day decide to start a Youtube channel 😛 I would love to do it but don’t think I’m quite there yet. I love how creative filming and editing is and how you always learn something new to take your video to the next level.

The theme of the videos was chocolate because it’s National Chocolate Week on Friday. So we filmed Faye (or her business Coconut & Kale) doing a healthy chocolate bark and chocolate fudge. It took us so long to get the tripod set up properly for the video with lighting and everything but we got there in the end. It was so much fun and can’t believe me spending time with my friend making chocolate and filming can be called working. The video for the chocolate bark is now on voomfit’s Facebook page (click).

During our afternoon together Faye cooked up a delicious lunch for us and of course her, her boyfriend Ross and I had to eat all the chocolate once we had finished filming. Oh my god, it was so good. None of us could stop eating it. I got a sugar rush from all the dates and maple syrup haha. There wasn’t a lot of it in them so that says a lot about how much I ate…

It was such a good time and we got some great footage. It was the first I have done a video like this and I know it’s not perfect but I’m so happy with it.

Now it’s time for me to get ready and head to work. Need to get some breakfast in my belly. Have a lovely day my dear xx

Madeleine Moves is a blog celebrating a love of exercise, food, travelling and life. I love being active, exercising and being out and about. With my blog I hope to spread this joy and inspire you to be your best. Who am I? I’m Madeleine (surprise). I’m a Swede who lives in the vibrant city of Glasgow in Scotland. I moved here for my university studies and in summer 2016 I graduated with a degree in Business and Management at University of Glasgow. My keyword has always been balance. I love eating healthy food but I also love to indulge once in a while. You need to enjoy life at the end of the day and limiting yourself is not the way to go. With this I would like to say welcome to Madeleine Moves. Love, Madeleine
