Happy Monday to all of you lovely people! Hope you’ve had a wonderful weekend. I took a little mini break from the blog and decided to not stress about not writing as much as I’d like and enjoy my days off. On Saturday I went to yoga at lululemon (it was so nice! I felt like a a new person leaving the class) and afterwards Jamie and I spent some quality time before he headed to work for the evening.
Yesterday I was at G5 with Faye and we worked on our deadlifts and snatches. We did 50 deadlifts each at 80kg (it was so tough but we got there in the end). For the remaining time we practiced snatches because it’s really something I want to improve on. It’s all about working on your technique, practice, practice, practice. It was such a great session. Faye forced me to go heavier on my snatches. I wasn’t convinced I would be able to do it but got the bar up! 30kg snatch who! My arms were so sore when I woke up this morning, the feeling of accomplishment.
After the gym I got lift home from Carole (Faye’s mum) and made a pancake lunch. Emma was coming over and I have been craving pancakes for I don’t know how long! I’ve been wanting to try a vegan banana pancake recipe I’ve come across ages ago and I thought it was time. They were so tasty! The recipe is in Swedish, so I thought I would translate it and put it up on the blog. You guys need to try it!
Now it’s time for a day at the voomfit office. I was at G5 this morning, it was so sweaty but so good. Lots of farmers carries which was tough. The key I’ve learnt is to walk is quickly as possible because the longer you carry the kettlebells, the heavier they get and your grip muscles tire quite quickly. Tonight I’m actually going to my first cocktail competition with my friends to hopefully watch Jamie compete. We’re only invited to the final part so let’s hope he goes through so I finally get to see him doing his thing! It would be so cool!
Have an amazing day and start to your week,
