Hi lovelies! Sorry it’s been a bit quiet on here. I needed some time to digest everything and all the emotions I was feeling. To be honest I was hoping to be stronger than I was. I thought I would be able to go into work and distract myself for the day but no, in the end I had to leave the office and go home. I went home, had a cry and then everything felt a little bit better. The rest of the day was spent on the sofa watching TV and relaxing. I made some almond butter and I wrote to friends and who were contacting me and being incredible support.
Jamie the amazing guy he is went all the way down to the southside to Lean Canteen to get dinner there for us after he finished work. I couldn’t believe he went through all that effort. He’s just the most generous and thoughtful person. Andy the chef down at Lean Canteen had seen my Instagram post and so thoughtfully sent a little dessert with some kind words. People’s kindness amazes me. The gesture was so appreciated, he really didn’t have to. The evening was spent watching TV. It was great to have Jamie by my side whilst working through my thoughts and emotions.
What else have I been up to for the past couple of days? Working away at voomfit of course. I’ve been filming with my friend Ross (The Motivational Dude) for some videos we’re releasing with him. I can’t wait for everyone to see them. There are some great tips in there.
Jamie and I were at the relatively new restaurant Six by Nico for dinner on Tuesday. His lovely mum gave him a gift voucher on his birthday for us to go and we haven’t had a chance to go until now. It felt nice to get a bit dressed up and going out for a date night on a Tuesday. After dinner we went across the street to Kelvingrove Cafe where Jamie will be starting after we’re back from Nice. It’s lovely in there. It was starting to get late so I left Jamie to meet up with his friends and I went home to get some sleep.
I’ve also been training every morning. I’ve good with making my morning gym sessions, not so good at making enough time to sleep. I’m feeling quite sleep deprived to be honest, which is not good at all. I hate feeling tired. I’ve not entirely found the right balance of how to juggle work, gym, friends, boyfriend, food, myself, sleep… It’s so tough at times. I need to sit down and come up with a better game plan on how to best tackle life so I don’t feel like this. Any tips are more than welcome! A beautiful moment was when I walked into G5 Wednesday morning and I met Nadia, one of the girls who trains there. She gave me a big hug and said some kind words about Monday and my mum. It meant so much to me, one of the many reasons I love G5, it’s like a family where we all take care of each other.
One of the best highlights this week so far is that my amazing and beautiful Marija is back from her travels around Asia. We met up after I finished work yesterday for a tea and wow, she’s absolutely glowing. You could see how she’s come back with so many adventures and experiences with her. She felt very zen and content with life. We chatted for ages, we had so much to update each other with and also just talking about life. I love our talks and I always feel so happy when I’ve seen her. I have to make the most of her being back because when I’m Nice she leaves for Japan to do her masters!!! I can’t believe she’s going to live bang in the centre of Tokyo. I’m so proud of her for pursuing her dreams and the incredibly hardworking lady she is, she even got a scholarship to do it. It’s going to be so sad to not have her here in Glasgow for the next year and a half but I’m so excited to go and visit her. I haven’t been in Japan since I was little so I’m really excited to go back.
Now it’s time for another day, I started off with a gym session at the Glasgow Uni gym and then headed into work to get editing on some videos. Really need to get as much work done as possible for when I’m away to Nice in just over a week. I can’t wait to get some sun and to see my family!!
Have a great day my dears xxx
