New glasses

Happy Friday!! This has been a busy but very fun week and I’m quite looking forward to some time off, even though I’m going to some work related things during the weekend with the student classes still being on. I can’t wait to spend some time for myself and get the posts here back on track. It’s not been great recently. I didn’t quite realise how busy I would be this week.

I just wanted to show you my new glasses! I got them from a really cool Glaswegian company called Iolla down in Finnieston. They create all their glasses here in Glasgow. What’s different about them is that all their glasses are 65 pounds no matter what model you choose or what prescription you have. A really great idea I think! This also includes anti-glare and anti-scratch coating.

I’ve needed glasses for quite a while but have never really been a huge fan of wearing them, which is why I instead use contacts loads. Especially on days when I start early in the gym, I don’t take them out until late at night. It’s definitely not good for my eyes at all so I thought that if I found a pair I liked I might wear them more and let my eyes have a rest from the strain of having contacts in. The staff in their are so helpful and after a lot of trying I finally decided on the pair above called “Burns”. Then I just needed my prescription (they don’t do eye tests) and they deliver the glasses either to your home or the showroom.

I picked mine up about a week ago and I actually like them a lot more than I thought I would. I feel like they fit my face well. Something I struggle with because my face and head is quite big and a bit roundish is that a lot of glasses look small on me. I’ve already used my new pair way more than I thought I would. I know they’re new and that’s probably why I find it easier to wear them but I feel I will continue to do so.

I just thought I would give Iolla a shout out here on the blog as I really think they’re doing something different and at an incredible price. Check them out 🙂
