Maggie’s Culture Crawl

Me with my beautiful mum who passed away due to cancer just before I turned five.

I’m absolutely delighted to be sharing that on Friday Jamie and I will be taking part in Maggie’s Culture Crawl here in Glasgow to raise fund for their Cancer Care Centre on the grounds Gartnavel Hospital in Glasgow. Maggie’s offer practical, social and emotional support to people with cancer and their families. The lovely team there has invited me and a friend (boyfriend in this case) to come along. Both of us have had family members pass away due to cancer so this is a cause that both of us find very important.

The Culture Crawl sounds like an amazing night, it’s an 8 mile walk through Glasgow and last year over 270 people walked it. How amazing is that?! You get a behind the scenes look at some of Glasgow’s most iconic venues such as Merchant’s House, Glasgow Cathedral, the Briggait, the Hunterian and loads more. At each venue there’ll be cultural performances such as live music, art and food from local talent.

I’m so excited for this evening and am thrilled the team at Maggie’s has asked me to be there. If you want to be there too there’s still time sign up, just check out their website here.

Maybe we’ll catch you there? I think it’ll really be a fun night for an incredible cause. I can’t wait and of course I’ll share my experience from Friday here on the blog!
