He did it

Hi lovelies! It’s almost four in the morning and I’m lying in bed here at the hotel whilst the boyfriend is still celebrating like mad. Yes, he did it. He’s mixologist of the year!!! The moment before it was announced we were both dying from nerves. Then when his name got called out I couldn’t stop screaming. I was shaking and almost crying. Jamie was just on a different planet. What a moment for him.

This title hasn’t come without sacrifice and hard work. Jamie has worked incredibly hard but this award does not only symbolise that. It shows to anyone that if you work with your passion and pour your heart and soul into it, you can achieve incredible things. He fearlessly goes out to pursue and work towards his dreams everyday.

He inspires me so much and is part of the reason why I share so much of me in this blog. He’s encourage me to explore my my dreams and passions and actually pursue them.

It takes years of hard work and sometimes it may seem impossible but if you believe you can do it don’t give up, you can do it.

Last year Jamie was nominated, we went to the awards and he didn’t win. He could’ve easily have given up after that but instead he let that fuel him to be an even better bartender.

I go to bed now feeling completely exhausted from so much sheer and utter joy. It hasn’t been an easy ride and being with someone who works in hospitality can be so tough but it’s moments like these, when you see your other half’s dream come true that makes those tough times worth it. I’m so incredibly proud of Jamie, I can’t even express it in words.

Anyway, I’ll speak more about the awards at a later point. Now I seriously need to get to bed because I’m getting up at nine tomorrow!!

Night night xxx

Madeleine Moves is a blog celebrating a love of exercise, food, travelling and life. I love being active, exercising and being out and about. With my blog I hope to spread this joy and inspire you to be your best. Who am I? I’m Madeleine (surprise). I’m a Swede who lives in the vibrant city of Glasgow in Scotland. I moved here for my university studies and in summer 2016 I graduated with a degree in Business and Management at University of Glasgow. My keyword has always been balance. I love eating healthy food but I also love to indulge once in a while. You need to enjoy life at the end of the day and limiting yourself is not the way to go. With this I would like to say welcome to Madeleine Moves. Love, Madeleine
