Hello lovelies! I know I did a post about Pot Luck not too long ago but sometimes in life things need to be repeated. Especially if it’s photos of beautiful and delicious food like this! No matter how busy this place is, the food always comes out looking like a masterpiece and tastes even more amazing. After the gym on Sunday Faye and her mum Carole said they were heading down to Pot Luck for brunch. As soon as they mentioned this I knew I couldn’t say no.
We did have to wait a while, a great sign for these guys. It was the first time I’ve been there when the wait has been a bit longer. They only opened a couple of months ago and already have queues out the door. If you’ve had their food you’ll understand why there never is an empty table. All three of us had the Breakfast Greens and added avocado, I added extra greens because I love greens. This dish is so unbelievably good. I eat mainly vegan when I can but once in a while I eat eggs, dairy and fish, this dish is one of these exceptions because life is about balance and doing the best you can.
I’ve managed to go to Pot Luck three times now and only had a couple of bites of their hot cakes but those couple of bites were some of the most tasty bites I’ve had in a very long time. I call their hot cakes pancakes, I don’t really know what the difference is to be honest! We decided to order the poached plum ones to share as a dessert.
I can’t even explain with words how good those pancakes were. So fluffy and wonderful with a symphony of flavours happening all at once. They disappeared in a matter of seconds. Sharing something sugary like this is how I like to do it. I wouldn’t want a full plate of these hot cakes but having a couple of bites means you can enjoy it without the crazy sugar rush. It can get a bit much having it all to yourself!
I’ve just had a sweaty gym session before work at G5 and now it’s time to get working. It’ll be a busy morning as I’m out for meetings in the afternoon! This evening I’ve been invited to T2 Tea’s Christmas launch at their store. I can’t wait to see what their Christmas teas are like. I know they won’t disappoint!
Have a lovely day,
