Yogad out

This is not what I got up to this morning. These pictures are from when I did my burpee thruster workout earlier this week. I think you can see from my facial expression what I thought about it! It’s one of the worst workouts for me. The six minutes feel never ending when you’re in the middle of it and you know you have no choice but to keep on going! I wanted to share these to show what fitness looks like and what I look like after an intense session. It’s not beautiful and you sometimes question why you’re there, why you’re doing this but you feel so much better for it afterwards. Once you have caught you’re breath!

To a lot of people form the outside they probably wonder why you would put yourself though something like that but you sort of get addicted to that feeling. That feeling of giving something everything you’ve got. The feeling of smashing through those barriers of what you thought you could do. You feel so incredibly empowered when you’ve done it.

This beautiful, but icy, Saturday morning I was at yoga in lululemon. My beautiful friend Alice was leading the class and I of course couldn’t miss it. She’s a wonderful teacher and did loads of chest opening exercises. I needed that because my muscles in that area are so tight and sore today! I love the flow of her classes, it’s a lot of poses going on but she does it in such a great way. I don’t know how to describe it so you will just have to go to one of her classes. She’s called alicegyoga on Instagram and she usually posts about where she’s teaching at the beginning of the week. Check this amazing lady out!

After yoga Faye and I went for a tea and coffee at Riverhill before she started work. I headed home to get some lunch in me and to see Jamie before he headed to work. For some reason this afternoon I had a complete meltdown. I couldn’t stop crying. It was extremely odd but I felt really sad and the tears wouldn’t stop flowing. I feel a bit better now. I felt extremely overwhelmed with a lot of things in my life and I think it just got the best of me today. Now when I feel a bit better I’m soon going to go grocery shopping because this evening my sister Ellie is coming over for some sister time. It’s going to be so nice to have her over.

Hope all you lovelies are having a great day,

With my blog I hope to spread this joy and inspire you to be your best. Who am I? I’m Madeleine (surprise). I’m a Swede who lives in the vibrant city of Glasgow in Scotland. I moved here for my university studies and in summer 2016 I graduated with a degree in Business and Management at University of Glasgow. My keyword has always been balance. I love eating healthy food but I also love to indulge once in a while. You need to enjoy life at the end of the day and limiting yourself is not the way to go.
