Sunday seeding funday

Happy Monday! Wow, Glasgow is looking like a winter wonderland this morning. I was up bright and early to get my G5 session in and Stella gave me a lift back to the West End in her shiny new car. On the way back we drove past Glasgow Uni and Kelvingrove park and it looked like a beautiful painting with all the trees covered in frost. You could almost pretend that it had snowed. Everywhere else in the UK seemed to have had some snow but not here in Glasgow. We somehow always get deprived of any proper snow haha. It’s very odd!

Yesterday morning I got up and walked my 45 minutes down to the gym in the cold. I met Faye on the way and we got down to the gym just in time for when it opened. The underground doesn’t run until ten on a Sunday so I instead walk down. I really don’t mind it, I put on a podcast and stroll down. Yesterday it was really cold though! I should really get a pair of nice trackies or something to wear over my leggings to keep my legs warm.

Faye and I did some of my seedings for Rainhill. I attempted the thruster burpee ladder with the right weight this time but I don’t know what went wrong but I did not feel like I had my mind in the right place for it. I only got five burpees more than when I did it with the heavier weight which was a bit disappointing. I was putting down the bar a lot more, which does waste time. I’ll be doing it again before I leave for Sweden because I could’ve gone faster. I know I could’ve. It’s the worst feeling when you feel you could’ve done better. When I know I’ve given something my all I can let go of it a bit easier even though it wasn’t as good as I’d hope but when I don’t feel like I’ve given it my best effort I get annoyed and need to go again. We’ll do it again Tuesday next week, fingers crossed it goes better!

We then moved on to doing as many  hand release push ups in a minute as possible and pull ups in a minute. Lou who’s also doing Rainhill joined us and did the exercises as well. I got 33 hand release push ups and 9 kipping pull ups, I was quite happy with that but think I’ll try them again just to see if I could improve. If it’s one thing I am, it’s stubborn. It’s a good and bad trait.

I’ve just had my breakfast now, I swung by Kember & Jones on the way back to get Jamie some nice bread and eggs so he could have that for breakfast. He’s been working so hard these past couple of days and I thought the least I could do was to make sure he has breakfast in the fridge when he woke up. He’s off today so I’m hoping we could maybe get a little tree for the living room. We were talking about maybe baking some Christmas things but I’m not sure if we’re still doing that. Of course I’ll also be job hunting as well. It’s always on the agenda. Tonight I’m hoping for us to watch a Christmas film. I’m sort of in the mood for the Grinch or something.

Have a lovely day my dears and wrap up warm my dears,
