Hi lovelies! I’m back writing in my kitchen here in Glasgow and have just had my breakfast. The trip back yesterday was so smooth, almost too smooth I thought at one point, and yes it was. When I arrived in Edinburgh and walked out to the bus to Glasgow I thought it was really odd it wasn’t there. There’s usually always one there.
After a half an hour wait with a load of other people who had no idea either what was going on and speaking to Jamie it dawned on me that the bus might not be in service on New Years Day, however there was no one to ask and no information on Citylink’s website. Absolutely terrible. I ended up having to get the bus into Edinburgh (half an hour), then walk to the bus station and catch the bus service over to Glasgow (no trains were running) and it was a premium fair since it was the 1st of January. Yay! A bit frustrating when I’d already paid for a return ticket for the Glasgow bus… Not ideal when you’re exhausted and just want to go home. So a trip that should take less than an hour took over two hours. If only the information had been clearer this could’ve all been avoided. I got home in the end which was all that mattered.
One of my many highlights during my Sweden trip was seeing my amazing friend Sanna. You might remember she visited me in Nice during the summer and we haven’t seen each other since then. It’s tough staying in touch all the time so we had a lot to catch up on, by a lot I mean a lot. We met up for dinner at a place called Supper. It’s a place I’ve seen a lot of people go to and heard good things about so we decided to give it a go. They serve Mexican small plates, I love that style of eating where you can try lots of different things. Everyone who worked there were so nice and a lovely girl on the team even helped us choose what to get in the end because we couldn’t decide.
We loved every single bite we had. The corn on the cobs for instance might not look like much to the world but wow. It was crazy good, all of it was. We couldn’t choose any favourites out of everything we had. Both Sanna and I said we could’ve easily ordered in loads more just because it was so good. Add it to your Stockholm eating list guys because this was something else. We were there for hours chatting away and I didn’t get home until around twelve. We completely lost track of time!
Have you guys got any plans for today? I had to run out first thing this morning to buy food for breakfast. Everything was closed yesterday! Even today a lot of places are closed which I think is a bit much. I think Scotland is one of the few places where businesses are closed for two days after New Year I’ve been told. The rest of the day I’m going to spend time with Jamie, get unpacked and try to cure myself of this stupid cold. I’m so over this and want to be fighting fit when G5 opens tomorrow! First workout of 2018 here we go 🙂 It’s going to hurt and be kind of disgusting because I haven’t trained for a couple of days but I’m going to love every second of it.
Have a great day, M xxx
