Saturday celebrations

Hello my dears! Hope you’re having a wonderful Saturday so far. I was at the gym this morning for Metabolic Mayhem. The last one before Rainhill! The next Metabolic Mayhem will be a week after the competition’s done and dusted. What a thought! We were working in threes and it was a really fun session. Straight afterwards I walked up with Faye to Riverhill for a tea and coffee before she had to head into her work.

We bumped into our friend Joe at Riverhill, which was really nice. I haven’t seen him for months so it was fun to hear how he’s been. He’s got lots of things in the pipeline at the moment and I’m so excited for him! Can’t wait to see his dreams turn into reality.

Jamie and I felt we needed a little celebration brunch because he’s been promoted at Kelvingrove Café to Bar Manager (wohoo!) and me passing my Crossfit Level 1. We’d love a nice dinner but he’s working every evening up until when we go to Manchester on Friday, not that we mind going out for brunch though. It’s the best. To mix it up we went to Papercup. Surprisingly for a Saturday we got a table straight away.We didn’t think that was ever going to happen in that place during the weekend.

I had their vegan sandwich. I very rarely eat sandwiches just because I tend to find it a bit boring but I do like their vegan one in there. Jamie as always had the steak sandwich. We’re just the complete opposites in our interests and food choices haha. Keeps things interesting! Opposites attract evidently.

Jamie’s just left for work and I’m going to sort some stuff out before Kajsa comes over for some dinner. Second evening in a row I’ve got a friend over. Kate did end up  joining Faye and I for dinner last night as, which was lovely. We watched the Froning documentary after food (a Crossfit documentary) and chatted away until it was quite late. Absolutely love those two.

I haven’t seen Kajsa for ages and have missed her so. Lots has happened since we last hung out so we’ve got so much to chat about. I can’t wait to her gorgeous face. I’ve missed her.

Have a lovely evening, M xxx

Madeleine Moves is a blog celebrating a love of exercise, food, travelling and life. I love being active, exercising and being out and about. With my blog I hope to spread this joy and inspire you to be your best. Who am I? I’m Madeleine (surprise). I’m a Swede who lives in the vibrant city of Glasgow in Scotland. I moved here for my university studies and in summer 2016 I graduated with a degree in Business and Management at University of Glasgow. My keyword has always been balance. I love eating healthy food but I also love to indulge once in a while. You need to enjoy life at the end of the day and limiting yourself is not the way to go. With this I would like to say welcome to Madeleine Moves. Love, Madeleine
