Brunch at Federal Café & Bar

So happy with my matcha latte

More drinks before our meal!

We didn’t only go to Manchester for Rainhill. Jamie and I stayed there two days more to have a little look around whilst we were already in the city. The hotel we stayed at was super central and happened to be right by Chinatown and we ended up bang in the middle of the Chinese New Year celebrations which was really lovely! It made me think of my Singaporean childhood and miss it a bit.

We continued our walk around Manchester and eventually ended up at Federal Café when we got hungry. I’ve been wanting to take Jamie there since I was there with Faye, Carole and Sharon the last time we were down. That place is so lovely! We ended up having to wait for a table for quite a while but we didn’t mind. We just grabbed a seat outside and ordered some drinks whilst we were waiting. I of course had to have one of their matcha lattes with Oatly. Soooo gooooooood.

Eventually we got a table. At this point we were starving! It was lovely sitting in there with it being so busy, it has a lovely buzz. Jamie tried out one of their Mimosas and I had a turmeric latte. If only us non-coffee drinkers had the same choice and options in Glasgow.

When the food arrived we stuffed our faces! It was delicious and I couldn’t not order their delicious banana bread afterwards. They serve it slightly warm and it just melts in your mouth pretty much. YUM! It’s a massive piece and after only a couple of bites Jamie said he was stuffed so I took matters into my own hands and finished it all by myself. I can say I was stuffed too after that!

  1. I am really loving the theme/design of your site. Do you ever run into any web browser compatibility problems?
A couple of my blog readers have complained about my website not operating correctly
in Explorer but looks great in Safari. Do you have any suggestions to help
    fix this problem?
