Easter Sunday

I really need to get better at taking photos of other things rather than just in the gym! I forget and then I sit here trying to write a blog post and don’t really have any images to show you guys. Here’s one anyway, as much as I love living in my gym gear, it’s really nice to dress up a little bit and put some make up on. I used to take dressing up in every day life quite seriously and loved shopping for “normal” clothes. That’s changed a lot and I now find myself justifying the cost for gym gear more than a new pair of jeans or a top. I would like to make more of an effort in every day life to get some make up on and dress nicely again. I’ve become a bit lazy but it does feel good once you’ve made an effort. It’s fun to dress nicely!

The morning started off in G5 where I’d planned a birthday WOD for Ellis’s birthday that Ellis, Faye, Kyle and I did. We then finished off with some snatching. Ellis, Faye and I then went for coffee/tea at Riverhill before Faye had to head to work and I headed home.

Jamie treated me out for brunch at Singl-end, which was really nice! They’ve had a slight menu update and I had a mini panic when my favourite vegan breakfast didn’t have sweet potato in it anymore. Luckily one of their other dishes stilled contained it so I asked to swap the new addition of the potato scone for the sweet potato. But come on guys, why change a winning concept?! The team who work there know how much I love my sweet potato so they got my good old breakfast for me. Always amazing service in that place. Love it in there.

I then met up with Hannah, who happened to be free that afternoon. Never happens! She’s so busy that lady. We hung out at Platform (the new permanent street food venue in the old Arches under Central Station). Wow! It’s so cool in there, we had a tea and coffee in the café but I really want to go back there for food. It’s an incredible venue and browsing about amongst the vendors, everything sounded delicious looking at the menus. We sat there for ages chatting away. Hannah has got something really exciting coming up soon and I’m so happy for her!

Today I’m heading to G5, then seeing Kajsa for a bit before meeting up with Jamie to get some grocery shopping done for our Easter meal (we didn’t get it done yesterday hehe). Hope you have a lovely chilled Easter Sunday xx

Madeleine Moves is a blog celebrating a love of exercise, food, travelling and life. I love being active, exercising and being out and about. With my blog I hope to spread this joy and inspire you to be your best. Who am I? I’m Madeleine (surprise). I’m a Swede who lives in the vibrant city of Glasgow in Scotland. I moved here for my university studies and in summer 2016 I graduated with a degree in Business and Management at University of Glasgow. My keyword has always been balance. I love eating healthy food but I also love to indulge once in a while. You need to enjoy life at the end of the day and limiting yourself is not the way to go. With this I would like to say welcome to Madeleine Moves. Love, Madeleine
