The plane we flew in was tiny!!

Hello Sweden

Three out of my four bags hehe

Very sweaty Maddie in the gym this morning! I’m not used to heated gyms.

Hi my dears! I’m in Sweden! Whoop whoop! It’s been so nice to see my youngest sis and my parents again. The journey yesterday went fine, although I did almost have a heart attack when I was weighing one of my bags in the check in and the scale said 40kg!! My baggage allowance was 23 each for my two bags. The girl at the desk and I looked at each other in shock. It really hadn’t felt that heavy. We then tried the other bag, 20.3kg… They didn’t feel that different weight wise so we tried the first bag again. This time the scale said 20kg… I took the bag off again and put it back again just to be sure and yes it said 20kg again. The girl then said I must’ve been leaning against my bag or something when it was on the scale. What a relief! That would’ve not been a fun fee to pay.

I slept like a log last night! I can’t remember the last time I slept that heavily. Then headed to Sats Odenplan for a gym session. They had open house so I even got to train for free which was a very nice surprise. They’ve done it up since I was there the last time and you can see they’ve noticed a change in what people are wanting in the gym. There’s now a small rig plus an entire martial arts area in there. It’s pretty cool! For being a big chain gym their equipment for the type of training I enjoy is pretty decent.

The workout I did to warm up was 1000m row then 21-15-9 of burpees and then push presses at 40kg. The push presses were really heavy for me but I gradually chipped away and got through them. I realised afterwards that I’d done 12 instead of 9 in my final round! I was so in the zone that I forgot I was meant to be 9 hehe.

After that I did a couple of rounds of 5x60kg back squats, 10 pistol squats and 5 kipping pull ups (just to get some kipping practise in). For the final 10 minutes I did cleans. Then finished off with some strict pull ups, I did my first ever 5 unbroken! It was such a good session. It makes a difference feeling warm!

I was very sweaty after all of that. It felt really nice to move my body after travelling yesterday.

Now we’re in the car on our way to Anki’s (my step mum) family for Sunday lunch. So excited to see everyone.

Have a lovely day, M xxx
