Hope you all are well. It’s very frustrating that I started this blog during exams as I want to update it more but know that I should be focusing on my studies. I am doing my best with revising and everyone needs a little study break once in a while! So here I am, typing away!
I started the day off at the gym with some rowing and then did a little ab and arm workout. Again took it easy but I really feel as though this exercise had helped me get considerably better (touch wood). It’s difficult to know when you body is okay to get back into normal exercise routines but all you can do is try and listen to how it reacts and stop if it isn’t feeling right. No point in pushing yourself and making yourself ill again.I have done that due to my impatience but it’s really not worth it…
Walking to the gym I was just blown away by how beautiful the trees are right now! I love spring and summer. It’s incredibly stunning with all the green trees and beautiful flower reawakening after the dreadful winter. I am definitely a summer person and I’m obsessed with the sun. Probably because I feel very sun deprived living in the UK and coming from Sweden 😛 Jamie’s and my dream is to live a warm country one day. I would be out and about all the time if the sun was shining! It’s incredible how much more energised I feel in comparison to when it’s cold and rainy.
Anyway, I’ve just had my dinner. On the menu tonight was some leftover sea trout and a huge tasty salad. Yum yum! Nice and light. I have to get back to revision now. This time in a week I will have ticked off one of my four exams and panic revising for my two the next day. Really not looking forward to having three exams in two days. At least I’ll have three of them done quickly but I’m getting really nervous!
The rain is pouring down here in Glasgow on this fine Sunday. I still ventured out around nine for a little gym session. Since I have just barely recovered from my horrible sinusitis (feeling almost like myself again) I thought some light exercise could help me. I really struggle trying to hold back after not exercising for so long but I have to keep reminding myself that this is better than nothing. It is important to be able to restrict yourself as well.
Today it was time for the legs and bum to get a little workout. I left the gym feeling super happy and energised. It’s the best start to the day!
Once I got home I enjoyed a nice bowl of porridge. Yes my porridge obsession continues! I cannot get enough. It is also the only thing that really fills me up in the morning. My favourite topping at the moment is banana, strawberries, homemade almond butter, coconut shavings with some almond milk. The oats I use are “Duchy Originals Oats and Barley Porridge”. I also throw in milled flaxseeds and some chia seeds as it is cooking. Always good to boost your food 🙂
Now it’s revision time!
So this is my first post in my brand new sparkly blog (I think I might be on my sixth by now?). After a lot of thinking I finally gathered enough courage to start this blog. Slightly scary as I am finally going to be writing about stuff I truly care about. Healthy eating and exercise. There will be loads of other things in here but the focus will different from my previous blogs. I am very excited to see how this goes and can’t wait to get started properly once exams are finished 🙂
In here you will be finding a lot of food photos, gym fun, thoughts, travels and hopefully tons of inspiration. There will be occasional post about clothes as well. Whatever I feel like writing about really. “Madeleine Moves” is all about me moving (surprise) and being active in my everyday life. Hopefully you guys will find it interesting and can’t wait to hear what you think!
Welcome everyone to a new adventure!
